Fourth attempted murder arrest after Kettering stabbing

Detectives investigating a stabbing in Kettering last month have made a fourth attempted murder arrest.

The suspect, a 25-year-old man from Kettering, was arrested after the incident in Wellington Street, close to the junction with Princes Street, at about 10.45pm on February 13.

The victim, a 19-year-old man, was stabbed multiple times and taken to hospital in a critical condition.

He was later discharged from hospital and will recover, police said.

They are a 15-year-old boy from Kettering, a 16-year-old boy from Kettering and an 18-year-old man from Wellingborough.

All four arrested suspects have been released on bail as police continue their investigation.

Detectives were at the scene the morning after the attack with door-to-door enquiries and forensic searches taking place.

Patrols in the area were also increased to reassure the community after the street attack.
