Boy aged 15 among three attempted murder arrests after Kettering stabbing

A 15-year-old boy is one of three teenagers arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in Kettering earlier this month.

The victim, a 19-year-old man, was stabbed multiple times in Wellington Street, close to the junction with Princes Street, at about 10.45pm on February 13.

He was in a critical condition but has since been released from hospital and will recover, a police spokesman confirmed today (Friday).

The spokesman confirmed three teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and have all been released on bail.

They are a 15-year-old boy from Kettering, a 16-year-old boy from Kettering and an 18-year-old man from Wellingborough.

Detectives were at the scene the morning after the attack with door-to-door enquiries and forensic searches taking place.

Patrols in the area were also increased to reassure the community after the street attack.
