Corby Police Community Support Officers have tonight (Monday, August 3) seized a motorbike after residents living in and around Lyveden Way made multiple complaints of nuisance riders throughout the day.

People from on the Oakley Vale estate have posted on social media complaining of a litany of problems with a male rider with no safety gear driving through the estate at speed.

After responding to the complaints, Corby PCSOs have seized this blue and black bike close to Morrison’s supermarket.

Officers have pledged to take a hard-line on illegal off-road bikes which have been a scourge on the town for many years.

On Friday, 14 bikes seized in the town were crushed and put on display in the town centre as a warning to those who persist in riding the off-road vehicles, often in pedestrian areas without a licence or insurance.

Officers have also taken delivery of DNA spray that they can use to tag nuisance riders so they can catch them at a later date.
