Attack on elderly man in Kettering is being linked to two previous incidents
An attack on an elderly man in Kettering yesterday (Thursday) afternoon is being linked to two previous crimes.
Yesterday's incident happened in London Road by the old police station at about 4.45pm when an 80-year-old man was pushed to the ground from behind and cut his hand.

Hide AdA spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said the incident was being linked to two previous attacks on elderly men in the surrounding area that took place in the past fortnight.
On Monday, August 17, a man in his 80s was walking along Albert Street, Kettering, when he was appraoched by two men between 10pm and 11.30pm.
The men assaulted him and stole his wallet, leaving the victim with minor injuries.
Two days later, on Wednesday, August 19, an 89-year-old man was knocked unconscious in Thorngate Street, near the junction with Montagu Street, some time between 10pm and 11pm.

Hide AdThe victim suffered a broken eye socket and was recovering in hospital. He remembers limited detail about what happened.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said all three attacks are now being treated as linked.
