Heartless robbers attack elderly man in Kettering

An elderly man who was walking last night (Monday) was robbed by two attackers in Kettering.

The victim, a man in his 80s, was approached by the two men in Albert Street between 10pm and 11.30pm.

The men then assaulted him and stole his wallet, leaving the victim with minor injuries.

A police spokesman said: "Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this robbery, or who may have caught the incident on CCTV or dash-cam footage.

"Anyone with information or who may have witnessed this incident is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 20000429087.

"Or alternatively, if you wish to stay anonymous, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
