The coronavirus pandemic may have closed Northampton Crown Court to most, but the criminal justice system continues to battle on.
Here are 14 convicts from the north of the county brought to justice over the past two months.
9. BILLY APPLEYARD
Appleyard stole from a car in Kettering and thought he would get away after threatening to stab the victim. Unfortunately for him, the victim chased him and held him until police arrived. The thief was jailed for six weeks.
10. VICTOR CARVALHO
Carvalho, from Corby, was spotted acting suspiciously in Peterborough. Police then found heroin and crack cocaine hidden in a Kinder Egg in his car. He was jailed for three years and nine months.
11. CONNOR MCCANN
McCann, from Corby, admitted sexually assaulting a woman and was warned he could be jailed. He was later handed a suspended sentence and will be on the register for sex offenders for 10 years.
12. JAMES HOWELL
Nassington man Howell, 48, impregnated his underage victim and later admitted sexual activity with a child. He was jailed for six-and-a-half years.
