Every store targeted by Corby shoplifter Jane Hill in her £6k thieving spree
A prolific Corby shoplifter has been ordered to pay back thousands of pounds after she spent more than three months nicking items worth £6,241.45 from stores across our town.
Jane Hill, who is one of the town’s best known shoplifters, has been handed another term of imprisonment after committing 21 new offences between the end of August and mid-December, 2025.
The 40-year-old, of Stephenson Way, Corby, was handed a 75-week jail term when she appeared before magistrates last month.

Hill, who has addiction issues, was ordered to pay back £4,368.45 in compensation to some of the affected stores.
Hill was in breach of a suspended sentence handed to her in June, for 12 offences of shoplifting carried out in spring at B&M, Curry’s, Asda, Co-op, Morrisons, Tesco, Superdrug and Boots. That sentence of 33 weeks was activated and added on to her new sentence of 42 weeks, with the prison terms to be served consecutively because of her terrible record of offending.
Hill has previously been jailed multiple times for dozens of shoplifting offences as well as driving crimes.
Her son Jayden Hill is currently serving a 30 month sentence for class-A drug dealing.
Back in 2020 she was seriously injured when she was the passenger in a horror crash that killed her partner, driver Joe Rooney.
Police have long suspected that shoplifters in Corby are stealing to order, in bulk, and items are being sold on by professional criminals.
