Here, we look at 14 of the famous people who were born, lived or worked in the town and have had successful careers in many different arenas.

9. Brendan Coyle
Perhaps the most successful of all Corbyites during the 21st century - Brendan Coyle was born David in Corby in 1963. After leaving for drama school, he began a successful acting career that peaked with his role as Mr Bates in Emmy award-winning series Downton Abbey. His family still lives in the town.
10. Daniel Keatings
Olympic gymnast Dan, from Great Oakley, is one of the town's most decorated sportsmen, winning three gold medals at European and Commonwealth games on the pommel horse. Dan went to Kingswood School and retired from competitive gymnastics in 2017.
11. Colin Dexter
The writer of Inspector Morse, Colin Dexter taught classics at Corby Grammar School during the 1950s. He retired after sudden-onset deafness and went on to write the much-loved Morse series.
12. Eddie McGoldrick
Eddie was brought up in Corby before embarking on a successful footballing career. He returned to the town as manager of the Steelmen in the year 2000.
