Three more Covid-19 deaths announced at KGH - the joint second highest figure today in England

There have been three more Covid-19 deaths announced this afternoon (Saturday, June 6) at Kettering General Hospital.

Two of the deaths occurred on Wednesday (June 3) and one on Thursday (June 4).

Its the highest daily total across the whole of the Midlands, the East and London.

Two hospitals, in Kent and in Hartlepool, announced four deaths today with five, including KGH, announcing three deaths.

Just 75 deaths were announced in English hospitals today, the lowest total for more than two months.

Only 46 hospitals across the whole country have announced any deaths at all today, with most announcing none at all.

It brings the total number of people who have died from the illness at KGH since March 16 to 194.

One death was announced today at Northampton General Hospital.

Meanwhile three more people have been diagnosed in the community with coronavirus in the past 24 hours - one each in East Northants, Kettering and Wellingborough.

The number of people diagnosed with the virus in each of our towns in total is now; Corby 129; East Northants 206; Kettering 251; Wellingborough 168. The real total is likely to be significantly higher.
