Swansgate Shopping Centre is proud to announce that an impressive £5,798.33 has been raised this year for the Royal British Legion through the generosity of the centre’s shoppers during the Remembrance period.

Volunteers from the Royal British Legion were based within the centre in the lead-up to Remembrance Sunday, offering poppies and engaging with the community to honour those who have served and continue to serve. The remarkable total reflects the kindness and community spirit of Wellingborough residents.

In addition to the funds raised through donations, Swansgate Shopping Centre has donated a further £500 to the Royal British Legion as a gesture of appreciation for the charity’s unwavering dedication and the vital support it provides to the Armed Forces community.

Fiona Stevens, Marketing & Tenant Liaison Coordinator at Swansgate Shopping Centre, said: “We are incredibly grateful to our shoppers for their generosity and for embracing the importance of the Poppy Appeal each year. The Royal British Legion plays a vital role in supporting our Armed Forces community, and we are honoured to work alongside them. Our additional donation is a small token of our appreciation for the incredible work they do, not just during Remembrance, but all year round.”

Swansgate Shopping Centre extends its sincere thanks to the Royal British Legion volunteers and to everyone who contributed to this year’s appeal.
