I'm a senior reporter with the Lancashire Post with a focus on the property market, lifestyle news, and nostalgia content.
I started my career in journalism in 2016 at the Burnley Express after completing a degree in English Language & Literature at the University of Nottingham and my journalism NCTJ course in Manchester. I worked at the Express for three years, getting the chance to cover a wide range of local stories before I passed my senior exams in 2018 and moved over to the Post a year later to become the new features writer.
My job has lead to some incredible experiences, from being mistaken for an Uber driver by Guy Garvey of Elbow, to chatting to Steve Coogan in the Lake District. Since moving into my current role a year ago, I've really embraced the opportunity to write lifestyle stories people really love - namely property articles giving readers the chance to nosey around other people's homes and retro pieces offering a lovely dollop of nostalgia.
Outside of work, I'm a big reader, sports fan (Man City, Sale Sharks, and Lancashire CCC for those interested), runner, and traveller, particularly to Spain where I previously lived for 10 years. I also own two cats named after Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse.
