There was a real buzz in the Market Place in April when more than 60 vendors showcased their produce at the first event, put on by LSD Promotions.

And it proved such a success that they’re returning for an autumn edition on October 15, with Kettering Town Council providing some funding.

Cllr Craig Skinner (Con, Ise Lodge) said: “We're delighted to be delivering the second food and drink festival in Kettering on October 15 following the first hugely successful event earlier this year.

"The festival promises to be another exciting free event for all the family in the centre of Kettering with a large variety of quality street food, goodies, gifts, arts and crafts on offer.

"Alongside this there will be a steel band, DJ and street entertainment including a juggler and balloon modelling.”

Next month’s event takes place from 10am to 6pm with street food on offer including Thai, Greek, Caribbean, burgers, Indian snacks, loaded fries and more.

There will also be sweet treats such as doughnuts and cookies, hot and cold drinks including cocktails and artisan market stalls.

The event is the latest to take place as part of a drive to reinvigorate the town centre.

Last week was the final ‘Street Food Saturdays’ of 2022, which saw food stalls, activities and entertainment in the Market Place on three Saturdays in July, August and September.

They proved a huge success – helping the town ‘get its spark back’ – and are set to continue next year.
