"Your future. Our community" - Wellingborough's Sir Christopher Hatton Academy holding sixth form open evening

Sir Christopher Hatton Academy is inviting prospective students and their families to discover what makes Team Hatton such a special place to continue their educational journey at its Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday 12 November 2026, from 6pm to 8pm.

The evening will provide an opportunity for students to explore a wide range of A-Level and vocational courses, meet subject teachers, speak to current students and experience first-hand the supportive and ambitious community at the heart of Hatton Sixth Form.

Presentations will be held at 6.30pm and 7.15pm, allowing visitors to hear directly from staff and students about Sixth Form life, academic opportunities and the pathways available after Year 13. Families are encouraged to reserve their free tickets.

A Great Place to Be

Current Head Student Maja believes the strong sense of community is what makes Hatton stand out: "My favourite part of Team Hatton is the wonderful community we have. Everyone works hard to support and push each other, alongside being backed by an excellent Sixth Form team. It's a great place to be!"

Fellow Head Student Rebecca highlights the unique relationships between students and staff: "My favourite aspect of the Sixth Form is the relationship between teachers and students. I always feel that the Sixth Form team is there to listen and take on board our suggestions and ideas, creating new opportunities and experiences for us as Sixth Form students.”

Director of Sixth Form Amy Williams says prospective students often discover there is far more to Hatton than qualifications alone: "At Hatton, we know that students are most successful when they feel they belong. Our Sixth Form combines strong academic outcomes with exceptional pastoral support, enrichment opportunities and expert guidance for life beyond school. Team Hatton is a community where students are encouraged to challenge themselves, develop confidence and pursue their ambitions, whatever their chosen pathway. We look forward to welcoming future students and their families to experience that for themselves."

With a reputation for academic success, a broad curriculum offer, extensive enrichment opportunities and dedicated student support, Hatton Sixth Form continues to provide students with the knowledge, skills and confidence to take their next steps towards university, apprenticeships and employment.
