Weldon kickboxer Krystian on top of the world after Spanish success
Weldon's Krystian Wojdak has been crowned WKC World Champion following a week of international competition in Cadiz in Spain.

The heavyweight fighter, who is 35, was one of two local athletes representing the Northants-based LSK Martial Arts and Team England at the championships, which they qualified for by placing on the podium at the WKC British Championships in Doncaster in March.
Fighting in the Men's 85kg+ continuous sparring division, Wojdak won matches against rivals from Canada, the United States, and Northern Ireland to take his first world title.

LSK team-mate Kayden Vincent Sharman competed in the Men's 85kg+ points fighting section and reached the quarter-finals, losing to a Mexican fighter.
LSK head coach Luke Smith was extremely proud to see an athlete from his club reach the top step.
"Krystian and Kayden have both worked tirelessly to prepare for a world-class competition," said Smith.
"They are both local guys who train in the evenings and at weekends, and to see them reach this level is phenomenal.

"To have people start their martial arts journey with us and then progress to the very top is a proud moment."
LSK Martial Arts runs kickboxing and sport karate classes for men, women, children and families seven days a week in locations across Northamptonshire, including Desborough, Weldon, Corby, Kettering, Rothwell and Geddington.
