Weavers Academy celebrates strongest GCSE performance in recent years
"Congratulations to our Year 11 students on their provisional GCSE results”
Students and staff at Weavers Academy are celebrating the school's strongest GCSE performance in recent years, with provisional results showing improvement across key measures, more students securing the grades they need for their next steps and a rise in top grades across the cohort.

The academy also saw improvement in the number of students achieving the top grades, with more students achieving grades 7, 8 and 9.
There were particularly strong outcomes in French, Art and Design, Music, Health and Fitness, Textiles and Psychology, while English Literature saw 67% of students achieve grade 4 or above. The academy also recorded a marked improvement in the number of students achieving grade 4+ and 5+ in both English and Maths. Staff said they were particularly proud of students who exceeded expectations through hard work, determination and attendance at additional support sessions.
Staff say the most significant successes are reflected not only in headline figures but in the individual stories behind the results, with students demonstrating resilience, commitment and ambition throughout their time at the academy.
Aleksandra Saran achieved an outstanding set of results, securing two grade 9s, three grade 8s, three grade 7s and one grade 6. An exceptional GCSE student, she consistently demonstrated kindness, humility and an unwavering work ethic, making her a valued and respected member of the school community.
Bryan Ederin-Nuabor, a Year 11 ambassador who regularly volunteered at parents' evenings, achieved four grade 8s, two grade 7s and three grade 6s. He said he was particularly proud of his achievement in maths and thanked Ms Oliva, Mrs Holyman and Mrs Underwood for helping him achieve his goals.
Ethan Tedonzo achieved five grade 8s, three grade 7s and one Distinction*. Recognised for his kindness and contribution to school life as a Year 11 ambassador, he said he was proud to have achieved strongly across a range of subjects and thanked his parents and Ms Oliva for their support.
Leah Wright achieved one grade 9, one grade 8, six grade 7s and one Distinction. Having exceeded her target grades through hard work and determination, she said she was particularly proud of her achievement in Art and thanked the teachers who had supported her throughout the year.
Weavers Academy said the results reflected the hard work, determination and resilience of students, as well as the commitment of staff and families who have supported them throughout their studies.
