This Saturday, Lakeside Healthcare Corby and Brigstock Surgeries Open Day
Patients and members of the local community are invited to attend the Lakeside Healthcare Corby and Brigstock Surgeries Open Day this Saturday, 16 May 2026, from 9am to 12.30pm at Lakeside Surgery, Cottingham Road, Corby, NN17 2UR.
The free event is an opportunity for people to meet teams from across the practice, learn more about local health services, and get advice and support.
Visitors will be able to speak with clinical and support teams about a wide range of services available through the practice, including women’s health, diabetes care, respiratory support, musculoskeletal (MSK) services, childhood immunisations, men’s health support and community groups such as Men's Shed, frailty support, and care for housebound patients.
There will also be practical help available for patients wanting support with NHS services and digital tools, including using Anima, ordering repeat prescriptions, and downloading and using the NHS App.
During the morning, patients can also try out the surgery’s new health kiosk, designed to provide quick and simple health checks, with staff on hand to offer demonstrations and guidance.
The event will also include information on stopping smoking support, carers assessments, the women’s health hub, joint injection clinics, skin lesion services, and how to get involved with the Patient Participation Group (PPG).
Families attending the event can also take part in a children’s colouring competition, where children are invited to design their own GP scrubs using fun colours and patterns to help make patients smile.
Children can download or collect a colouring sheet from reception at Lakeside Surgery, complete their design, and return it to reception by Saturday 16 May 2026, or bring it along on the day of the event.
There is a chance to win a prize, with one winner selected from each age category: ages 3 to 6 years and ages 7 to 11 years.

“It’s a great opportunity for people to meet the teams behind the services, ask questions, and find out more about the support available for their health and wellbeing.
“We know appointments can sometimes feel rushed, so this gives people more time to explore services, get advice, and understand how we can help support them and their families.”
Anyone interested in joining the practice will also be able to register on the day.
