The Ferrers School celebrates excellent GCSE results
“I am overjoyed with the results our Year 11 students have attained today”
Year 11 students at The Ferrers School, part of Meridian Trust, have achieved a fantastic set of results, marking an important milestone in their educational journey.

Results are much improved on the previous year, with the number of students achieving a grade 4 pass in both English and maths, an important standard for access to a wide range of educational and career opportunities, significantly higher than in 2025.
The Ferrers School welcomed Clare Raku as its Principal at the start of this academic year, following her previous role at another school within Meridian Trust. She said: “I am overjoyed with the results our Year 11 students have attained today. They all worked incredibly hard preparing for their exams, and I am delighted that they have achieved positive results which will enable them to go onto the next stages of their educational journey.”

Several students achieved exceptional results, including Sophie Haynes who achieved seven grade 9s, three grade 8s and a level 2 Merit in music, Frankie Hurt who achieved four grade 9s, three grade 8s, a grade 7 and two grade 6s, and Sebastian Davies who achieved two grade 9s, five grade 8s, a grade 7, a grade 6 and level two Distinctions in IT and music.
Clare added: “Seeing the Year 11s celebrate their own achievements, and the results of others, has been wonderful. I speak on behalf of everyone at The Ferrers School when I say how proud we are of each and every one of you. I look forward to welcoming many of you back to our Sixth Form, and wish those leaving us to study on apprenticeships, college, or exploring other pathways the very best of luck. We look forward to hearing of your future success!”
Mark Woods, CEO of Meridian Trust, said: “Today we celebrate the hard work and resilience of the Year 11 students receiving GCSE and vocational results across Meridian Trust. On behalf of everyone at Meridian Trust, congratulations to staff, students and their families on this milestone. We look forward to seeing you continue to flourish in post-16 education, apprenticeships and the many exciting opportunities that lie ahead.”
