The Dreamers Rock ‘n’ Roll into Northampton

The Dreamers Rock ‘n’ Roll into Northampton

A feel-good afternoon of music and nostalgia heads to Northampton's Old Savoy Theatre on Thursday 18 June as sixties favourites The Dreamers top the bill in a new touring show, The Fab 50s and Swingin’ 60s!

Keeping alive the unmistakable sound of Freddie & The Dreamers, the band is fronted by lovable Liverpudlian Alan Mosca, who worked alongside the original larger-than-life leader, Freddie Garrity. They perform hits such as I'm Telling You Now, You Were Made For Me and If You Wanna Make A Fool Of Somebody, as well as classic songs from The Beatles and the early stars of rock 'n' roll.

Presenting the show is musical entertainer Andy Eastwood, with an array of instruments and a catalogue of crowd-pleasing singalongs, and there's comedy too from Steve Barclay, who looks back at the stars of yesteryear. Singer Helen Farrell pays tribute to some of the greatest female voices of the era, including Connie Francis, Cilla Black and Dusty Springfield.

Blending music, memories and laughter, the show promises to strike a chord with theatregoers who remember this golden age of entertainment, and with those who are discovering it for the first time.
