Teams wanted as Commsave hosts charity quiz night for Animals in Need

Commsave Credit Union is putting Northamptonshire's general knowledge to the test this December, with a charity quiz night in aid of animal rescue charity Animals in Need - and it is inviting local businesses to join in.

The quiz takes place on Monday 7th December 2026 in the Tollers Lounge at Northampton Town Football Club, from 5.30pm to 10.30pm.

Around 100 professionals from local organisations and partners are expected to take part in teams of six, with a fundraising target of more than £1,500. All profits will go directly to Animals in Need.

Animals in Need is a voluntary organisation that rescues sick, injured, trapped and distressed wild and domestic animals across Northamptonshire.

Run by eight members of staff and a team of volunteers, the charity provides veterinary treatment where needed and cares for animals until they can be released or rehomed.

James Richards, Strategic Partnership Manager at Commsave Credit Union, said: "Animals in Need does incredible work across the county, much of it behind the scenes.

"Their small team of staff and volunteers is there for animals in distress when they need it most - and every pound we raise on the night will help them keep doing that.

"We've already been in touch with many of our partners, and now we'd love to open the doors to the wider Northamptonshire business community.

"It's a relaxed, sociable evening - a chance to meet other local businesses, test your general knowledge and support a charity that makes a real difference, all in one go."

Commsave is offering a range of sponsorship packages for local businesses.

A single Headline Sponsor package is available at £400, which includes a table of six, branding on pre-event promotion, quiz materials and screens throughout the evening, the opportunity to give a short presentation, and the chance to present prizes to the winning team.

Fifteen Table Sponsor packages are available at £150 each, including a table of six, branding on the table and on the rotating slide deck, and a thank you from the host.

Eight Round Sponsor packages, at £100 each, include branding on the question slides and answer sheets for a chosen round.

Organisations unable to sponsor can support the evening by donating a raffle prize. All sponsors will receive a breakdown after the event showing the funds raised for Animals in Need.

Whether you take a table, sponsor a round or donate a raffle prize, you'll be helping a local charity that relies on the generosity of people and businesses right here in Northamptonshire. We'd love to see as many local businesses there as possible."
