Rothwell author publishes new novel

Rothwell author Richard Ley has just published his eighth novel – a mystery centred around two documents which a knight had pledged to deliver.

Set in a mediaeval fantasy land, The Secret Bequest is strewn with puzzles, riddles and murders.  Lady Avice de Maitland is at the heart of them all – and so is a knight, Sir Ingram Cayde.  His squire, Benedict, is an interested observer of all that passes as the two of them delve deeper into the riddle of the mysterious documents which bring mayhem in their wake.

Richard Ley, who lives in Castle Hill, Rothwell, has published seven previous books, all set in the same fantasy lands and many involving the same characters.  They are a mixture of adventure, thriller, mystery – with more than a dash of romance.

The Secret Bequest, along with Richard’s other novels, is available on Amazon as an eBook, softback or hardback.
