Road trip to deliver aid and vehicles to Ukraine
A friend and I are part of a convoy taking aid to Ukraine in July of this year. This convoy is organised by the UK/US charity Ukrainian Action, which supports the people of Ukraine. As volunteers, we are also raising funds for this crucial work, including funding the cost of the convoy itself
Since February 2022, Ukrainian Action has raised over £4 million and delivered over 470 vehicles to the Ukraine. Each vehicle is laden with critical humanitarian and medical supplies.
Ukrainian Action operates in four areas: emergency support, humanitarian aid, recovery, and reconstruction.
Ukrainian Action is a network of friends helping friends. We appreciate that you may have already donated to other worthwhile causes, but if you want to support a direct, impactful effort to help the vulnerable civilians of Ukraine, it would be hugely appreciated.
You can help us by donating towards the purchase of one such truck and the humanitarian and medical supplies which it will be carrying. It typically costs c.£7,000 to buy a vehicle, prepare it, fill it with supplies (depending on the supplies), and deliver it from the UK to Ukraine. Your donation, however small, will contribute to the vehicle we will be driving, and help us to support those in Ukraine for whom every day represents a long and enduring struggle.
All funds raised will continue to help the victims of this war.
