Helen has been painting all her life. Receiving a combined honour in Psychology and Art at University College Northampton in 1996. She has had several local exhibitions. Whilst at University she was particularly drawn to the Expressionists use of colour to depict emotion. Since then she has become drawn to folk art, especially landscapes. Having a ‘Magpie’ approach to inspiration she borrows from various genres and her travels. Beautiful spots from the UK and Europe feature in this exhibition , however there will be much work from her imagination.
Helen also organises Art and Craft fairs where other artists can sell their work. The next is at Saint Matthews Church rooms on Sunday 15th August 2 – 5.30pm. Lumina Alliance is a beautiful gallery space and fantastic community organisation and has many exciting events on offer. Well worth checking out.
