Situated at Radlands, the café has long served as a focal point for skaters, families and park users. Its recent closure left many residents feeling the park had lost part of its vibrancy — something Push Society now hopes to restore.

Push Society brings together the local business owners behind Beyond.PEV and Evolve Skateboards, two established names within Northampton’s electric mobility and skating communities. Building on that experience, the new venture will bring a fresh energy to the space while keeping community at its core.

The Northampton-based team, known for promoting safe and responsible riding, says it wants the shop and café to become more than just a place to grab skate gear and refreshments. Plans include creating a welcoming community hub, supporting youth engagement around the skate park, and introducing events that encourage positive use of the space.

Pete Harvey, Director of Push Society, said the move represents an investment not just in a building, but in the wider community. “We see huge potential in Radlands. By reopening in late July under Push Society, we want to provide a safe, friendly environment that brings people together and supports the young people who use the skate park.”

Local residents have welcomed the announcement, with hopes that the reopening will increase footfall, improve the overall atmosphere of the park, and help deter anti-social behaviour by ensuring there is a visible, positive presence on site

With refurbishment work expected to take place over the coming weeks, anticipation is building ahead of the July launch. Many will be watching closely to see how Push Society’s involvement helps give the Radlands skate park café a fresh start and a renewed sense of purpose.
