PCS expands cyber security services with round-the-clock protection
Kettering-based PCS Business Systems has expanded its cybersecurity services with a 24-hour Security Operations Centre, helping businesses identify and respond to threats outside normal working hours.

Established over 30 years ago, the company provides IT support, cloud services and technology projects for businesses across Northamptonshire, the Midlands and beyond.
Its Security Operations Centre monitors businesses’ IT systems around the clock for signs of hacking and other cyber threats, investigating suspicious activity and taking action to help prevent damage and disruption.
For businesses without their own dedicated cybersecurity team, the service provides additional support alongside their everyday IT management.
Shelley Thompson, Managing Director of PCS Business Systems, said: “Businesses rely on their IT for so much of their working day. When something goes wrong, it affects their people, their customers and their ability to keep working.
“Cyber threats don’t stop when everyone goes home. Having monitoring and response in place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week means businesses aren’t relying on someone spotting a problem when they log in the next morning, when the damage may already have been done.”
PCS says the service forms part of its wider approach to helping customers protect their systems and prepare for disruption. Alongside detecting threats, this includes making sure businesses have reliable backups and understand how they would recover if an incident occurred.
Shelley added: “There is a lot of technical language around cybersecurity, and it can be difficult for business owners to know what they actually need.
“Our role is to make that clearer, explain where the gaps are and help them put sensible protection in place. It’s about keeping their business and their people working.”
