Orbit Tyres, based in Rushden, has pledged its support to the free community festival, which will take place in Higham Ferrers on Saturday 19 September 2026.

Organised by local charity Ailsa’s Aim, the festival will bring together families from across Rushden, Higham Ferrers and the surrounding area for a full day of live entertainment, activities and inclusive fun.

Aim High Festival has been created to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy a special day out, regardless of their financial circumstances. Attractions will include live music, fairground rides, inflatables, children’s activities, a dedicated SEND area, entertainment and much more.

Although the festival is free for the public to attend, it costs thousands of pounds to stage safely. Funding is needed for everything from security, medical cover and toilets to the main stage, equipment and free activities.

Orbit Tyres’ £1,500 donation will make a significant contribution towards these costs, helping Ailsa’s Aim ensure the festival remains accessible to the whole community.

Sara Whatley, CEO and Co-Founder of Ailsa’s Aim, said: “We are absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity of Orbit Tyres. A donation of £1,500 is a huge amount for our small charity and will make a real difference to what we can provide at Aim High Festival.

“What makes this support even more special is how keen the team is to become involved. This is exactly what Aim High is about—local businesses, charities and residents working together to create something positive for our community.

“There are so many families who simply cannot afford days out or paid activities. By helping us keep the festival free, Orbit Tyres is giving local children and their families the chance to enjoy an unforgettable day without worrying about the cost.”

The team at Orbit Tyres is enthusiastic about supporting the event and becoming involved in the wider community, demonstrating the important role local businesses can play in helping grassroots charities deliver ambitious projects.

Ailsa’s Aim supports people affected by cancer and families with babies receiving neonatal care. The charity provides free care bags, RADAR keys, worry monsters, wellbeing sessions and respite breaks, helping people through some of the most difficult periods of their lives.

Funds and awareness raised through Aim High Festival will help the charity continue providing these services free of charge.

Sara added: “Community support is what makes events like this possible. We simply could not do it without businesses such as Orbit Tyres believing in our vision and choosing to stand alongside us.

“We cannot thank them enough for aiming high with us.”

Aim High Festival will take place on Saturday 19 September 2026, from 12pm until 8pm, across Saffron Road Recreation Ground and other locations in Higham Ferrers.

The festival is free to attend, although donations to Ailsa’s Aim will be welcomed throughout the day.

Anyone wishing to support the festival can make a donation through its JustGiving page:

Every donation, no matter the amount, will help Ailsa’s Aim keep the festival free and accessible for the whole community.
