Northamptonshire housebuilder raises over £84,000 for local charity
A charity golf day and gala arranged by Barratt Homes Northampton has raised £84,600 for its charity partner, KidsAid.

32 teams made up of 128 golfers, including Barratt Homes’ employees and sub-contractors, took part in the tournament which was held at Whittlebury Park Golf Course in Northampton.
The golf day was followed up with a charity gala and auction, with prizes on offer such as a signed Mike Tyson Boxing Glove, spa days and days with directors and contracts managers.

The total raised included fundmatching by The Barratt Redrow Foundation, Barratt Homes’ charitable arm.
The funds raised have been donated to KidsAid, a Northampton-based charity that focuses on the prevention, healing and empowerment for children and families affected by abuse, family breakdown, illness, and bereavement through to anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicide.
Charlotte Cornish, Fundraising Manager at KidsAid, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Barratt Homes Northampton for their continued support and for once again going above and beyond to raise such an incredible amount for KidsAid.
“£84,600 is a phenomenal achievement, and we genuinely cannot thank everyone involved enough. Their commitment to supporting children, young people and families across our local community has made a huge difference to the work we are able to deliver.
“Every pound raised helps us provide vital, specialist therapy and support to children and families who have experienced trauma and difficult life experiences. We are incredibly proud to have Barratt Homes Northampton as a charity partner and cannot thank Simon, his team, their employees, sub-contractors and everyone who has supported these events enough for everything they have done for KidsAid.”
Barratt Homes Northampton first started partnering with KidsAid in 2022 and over the years, its corporate fundraising events have raised over £300,000 for the charity.
Simon Francis, Managing Director at Barratt Homes Northampton, said: “We were delighted to once again host this golf day and gala for our employees and sub-contractors to raise funds for KidsAid to help it continue its important work.
“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, donated, and helped make the day so memorable. The generosity shown will have a lasting impact on this charity we support.”
