Northamptonshire homebuilder continues community support with volunteering efforts

For this year’s Volunteers’ Week (1st to 7th June), David Wilson Homes is celebrating its employee volunteering across 2025 and 2026, as colleagues dedicate more time than ever to supporting local charities and community organisations.

The Northampton-based housebuilder offers every employee two paid volunteering days each year, encouraging teams to give back to causes making a difference across the region.

In the year leading up to 31st March 2026, employees at David Wilson Homes South Midlands completed 78 volunteering days, highlighting the developer’s ongoing commitment to supporting local communities.

Held annually from the first Monday in June, Volunteers’ Week shines a spotlight on the invaluable role volunteers play in communities across the UK. The nationwide campaign recognises and celebrates the dedication of those who give their time to help others and make a lasting impact.

Ben Kalus, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said: “It’s fantastic to see so many of our colleagues embracing the opportunity to volunteer and support worthwhile causes in the communities where we build.

“The amount of volunteering days undertaken reflects the passion our teams have for making a positive difference locally, and we’re incredibly proud of the time and energy they continue to give.

“We’re excited to build on this momentum and support even more charities and community groups in the year ahead.”

Among the recent volunteering initiatives completed by David Wilson Homes employees was litter picking around developments, and redeveloping the outside space at Spinneyfields Specialist Care Centre in Rushden.
