A Northamptonshire-based home care provider has earned national acclaim after securing two prestigious honours at a leading UK awards ceremony.

Mega Nursing & Care was named winner of the Best Nursing Care Expertise award and also received a High Commendation for Respite Care Expertise at the 2026 Home Care Awards, which recognise excellence across the UK home care sector.

The awards reflect the organisation’s expertise in delivering specialist nursing and complex care, supporting individuals with a wide range of health needs to remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes. Mega Nursing & Care provides tailored services including specialist nursing, complex medical care, dementia support, palliative care, and respite care—helping people of all ages maintain their health, dignity, and quality of life in familiar surroundings.

Alongside its awards success, Mega Nursing & Care has achieved the Gold Standard Framework Hallmark Quality Award and is TDDI Registered, placing it among a select group of providers nationwide recognised for exceptional care standards and governance. The organisation also holds a ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), reflecting its continued commitment to clinical excellence.

Chief Executive Officer Margeret Lawal said the awards recognise the dedication and professionalism of the organisation’s staff.

“These accolades are a testament to the skill, compassion and commitment our care and nursing teams demonstrate every day,” she said.

“Providing specialist care at home is about far more than clinical expertise. It requires empathy, trust, and building meaningful relationships with the individuals we support and their families. We are incredibly proud of the difference our teams make across Northamptonshire.”

The recognition comes at a time when demand for home-based care is growing, as more people choose to receive support in familiar surroundings rather than in hospital or residential settings. Home care also plays an increasingly important role in supporting NHS services by facilitating earlier hospital discharge and reducing avoidable admissions.

Ms Lawal added that she hopes the awards will shine a spotlight on the vital role of high-quality home care in local communities.

“Being able to remain at home, surrounded by the people and things you know best, makes a huge difference,” she said.

“These awards highlight the incredible work carried out by our care professionals every day, often quietly behind the scenes, and we are proud to be recognised among the very best in the sector.”

Residents across Northamptonshire seeking specialist nursing, complex care, dementia support, or respite services at home can contact Mega Nursing & Care on 01536 524 205 or visit www.megaresources.co.uk for further information.

The organisation added that it will continue to invest in staff training, clinical standards, and service development to ensure people across the county receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care in their own homes.
