New Kettering Toastmasters Club Celebrates Charter Success with Community-Focused Event
Tuesday 19th May marked a major milestone for NN Clear Speakers, the recently formed Toastmasters International club based in Kettering, as more than 50 members and guests gathered to celebrate the club’s official charter status.

Held at the club’s regular venue at Teamwork Trust in Kettering, the evening showcased a full Toastmasters meeting in action under the theme of “Teamwork”, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the supportive and inspiring atmosphere that has helped the club rapidly grow to 24 members since its launch.
Guests enjoyed a diverse range of food provided by members alongside networking opportunities and a lively programme of prepared speeches, impromptu speaking and evaluations designed to help people improve their communication and leadership skills in a friendly and encouraging environment.
The club was also honoured to welcome the Mayor of Kettering, Councillor Ben Jameson, on his final day in office.
Representatives and officials from several other Toastmasters clubs travelled to support the celebration, including members from Milton Keynes, Northampton, Stamford and Peterborough, reflecting the strong sense of fellowship within the wider Toastmasters community.
Carl Peach, President of NN Clear Speakers, said:
“This evening was about far more than speeches. It was about people coming together to support one another, grow in confidence and create something positive for the local community.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the spirit that has developed within the club. We have members from many different backgrounds and experiences, all encouraging each other to step outside their comfort zones and discover what they’re capable of.
Toastmasters provides clear leadership pathways, communication skills and personal development opportunities, but at its heart, it’s about community, connection and leaving a legacy that helps people in Kettering and the surrounding towns thrive and grow.”
NN Clear Speakers serves Kettering and surrounding areas, including Corby, Wellingborough and Market Harborough. Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of every month at Teamwork Trust in Kettering, and visitors are warmly welcomed.
