London Classical Duo to perform at Kirby Hall
The magnificent setting of Kirby Hall will provide the backdrop for an intimate evening of classical music on Thursday 26 August, from 6pm to 8pm.

London-based duo Héloïse Werner (vocals) and Colin Alexander (cello) will fill this remarkable English Heritage site with music, creating a captivating conversation between voice, instrument and architecture.
With its grand stonework, elegant proportions and dramatic atmosphere, Kirby Hall is the perfect setting in which to experience classical music at close quarters. As evening falls, audiences can expect a performance of beauty and intensity, with every note enhanced by the history and character of this extraordinary place.
The innovative Alexander-Werner Duo will perform a unique programme of works for voice and cello including their own compositions, and arrangements of music by the 12th-century composer Hildegard of Bingen and baroque composers Henry Purcell and Julie Pinel.
As a duo, they regularly collaborate with artists such as Kit Downes, Max Baillie and Jas Kayser, and have recently performed at London’s Southbank Centre, Barbican Centre and Wigmore Hall as well as End of the Road Festival, Deal Festival, Singing with Nightingales and Dublin International Chamber Music Festival. They are often heard on BBC Radio 3 and have been an ensemble-in-residence for the composition students at the Royal College of Music in the 24-26 seasons.
This promises to be a memorable summer evening: beautiful music, beautiful architecture and the rare chance to enjoy both in an intimate historic setting.
