How far could you go in six hours? New endurance challenge comes to Marston Lodge
“There’s something really special about endurance events like this"
Runners across the county are being invited to test their limits this summer with the launch of Marston Madness, a unique six-hour endurance event taking place on Sunday 5 July 2026 at Marston Lodge near Market Harborough.

The event challenges participants to complete as many 5K laps as possible within six hours, offering a flexible format that appeals to a wide range of runners, from those aiming to push their distance to others looking to take part as a pair or team.
Organised by Polka Dot Races, Marston Madness is designed to be both inclusive and challenging, combining personal achievement with a strong sense of community on the course.

Kerry, event organiser, said: “There’s something really special about endurance events like this. You see runners encouraging each other throughout the day, whether they’re chasing a distance goal or just aiming to keep going. It creates an atmosphere that’s supportive, motivating and genuinely enjoyable, no matter your pace or experience.”
The multi-lap format allows runners to approach the event in their own way, with many using similar challenges as part of their training for longer distance events or personal milestones.
The event has also been recognised by the 100 Marathon Club UK, meaning distances achieved during the six-hour period can count towards marathon milestone totals.
As well as individual entries, the event is expected to attract groups and businesses, with the format lending itself to team participation and shared challenges.
Set within the grounds of Marston Lodge, the event offers a scenic and accessible location for both runners and spectators, with a welcoming atmosphere expected throughout the day.
Entries are now open, with runners encouraged to take on the challenge and discover just how far they can go in six hours.
