Housekeeping trio put Whittlebury Park in the running for national honours
Whittlebury Park, in Northamptonshire, is pleased to announce that three members of its housekeeping team were named as finalists in the prestigious Hotel Housekeeping Honours 2026.
Brigitte Bradshaw, Karen Porter and Cristian Lungu have been recognised in three different categories.
Brigitte is a finalist in the Porter of the Year category, described as a positive, friendly member of the team, she is always willing to help her colleagues and support other areas of the hotel when needed.
Her contribution to the team has seen her nominated several times for Employee of the Month, which she has previously won.
Karen has been shortlisted for Room Attendant of the Year. She is one of Whittlebury Park’s buddy trainers, helping new starters learn the role and settle into the team. She works at a high standard and is always willing to go above and beyond for guests.
Her colleagues describe her as approachable, patient and knowledgeable, and she is always happy to offer guidance or lend a hand during busy periods.
Cristian is a finalist for Housekeeping Supervisor of the Year and has been part of the housekeeping team at Whittlebury Park for more than 10 years.
He joined as a Late Attendant before progressing to Room Attendant and then Housekeeping Supervisor. Known for being dependable and supportive, Cristian leads by example and is always willing to work alongside the team and step in when someone needs help.
David Munson, Hotel General Manager at Whittlebury Park said: “We are really proud to see Brigitte, Karen and Cristian shortlisted. They all work incredibly hard and play an important part in making sure our guests have a great stay.
“A lot of the work our housekeeping team does happens behind the scenes, so it is lovely to see three members of the team recognised in this way.
“We’ll all be wishing them the best of luck.”
The winners of the Hotel Housekeeping Honours 2026 will be announced at an awards evening in Stratford-upon-Avon on 10 September.
