Hair Therapy Academy

I run a salon in Wellingborough and I am the founder of Hair Therapy Academy, a specialist business focused on restoring hair health and confidence for women across Northamptonshire.

My journey into hair therapy wasn’t traditional. For many years, I worked in management, but I knew I wanted to do something more meaningful — something that truly helps people. Two years ago, I made the decision to retrain and become a professional hair therapist.

Since then, I have worked with hundreds of women across Northamptonshire who are struggling with damaged, over-processed and chemically treated hair. More and more women are now seeking real solutions — not just cosmetic fixes — and are coming to me looking for expert help to restore the condition of their hair and rebuild their confidence.

Hair therapy is not just about healthy hair, although that is a big part of it. It is about helping women feel like themselves again. I have seen women walk into my salon feeling frustrated, self-conscious and unsure — and leave standing taller, more confident, and truly transformed.

This growing demand is what inspired me to take the next step and launch my Hair Therapy Training and Coaching Programme. Over six months, I work closely with hairdressers and individuals who want to specialise in hair therapy, teaching them not only the treatments but how to build this into a successful, professional business.

The results go far beyond hair. I have seen my students grow in confidence, build new income streams, and create meaningful change for their own clients. At the same time, more women in our community are finally getting access to the specialist care they have been searching for.

There is a clear shift happening — more women are dealing with hair damage caused by colouring, extensions, and chemical treatments, and they are actively looking for trusted professionals who can genuinely help. My mission is to meet that need, both through my own client work and by training others to deliver the same level of care and expertise.
