Fun for all the family at Royal & Derngate
This summer also brings the return of more picture book favourites, brought to life on stage.
From CBeebies stars to picturebook favourites, there’s family fun for all at Royal & Derngate over the coming months.
CBeebies megastar Justin Fletcher will be coming to Northampton on Saturday 25 April with his brand-new show Justin Live – Justin Time to Rock. In this high energy feel-good family show, BAFTA Award-winner Justin and his band will have everyone singing, dancing and laughing along.
More CBeebies favourites are heading to town later in the summer, when the CBeebies House Party Live takes to the Derngate stage on Saturday 6 June. Andy Day, Evie Pickerill, Rebecca Keatley, George Webster and Duggee, along with BSL interpreter Emma Jane Mansfield, bring a fun-packed stage show with dancing, singing, streamers, giant jellies and bubbles galore… and of course, a CBeebies Bedtime Story.
My First Concert promises a magical live musical adventure, on Sunday 24 May, with special guest appearances from Pinkfong, Baby Shark and The Zoomies. The show is packed with nursery rhymes, fun characters, audience interaction and big concert moments.
This summer also brings the return of more picture book favourites, brought to life on stage, starting with Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s loveable but accident-prone dragon Zog. This delightful musical stage adaptation takes to the Royal stage from Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 May, featuring beautiful puppets by Little Angel and joyful songs by Joe Stilgoe.
Then, direct from the West End, the Olivier Award-nominated show The Tiger Who Came to Tea returns to Royal & Derngate from Tuesday 2 to Thursday 4 June, based on the beloved book by Judith Kerr, and packed with oodles of magic, sing-a-long songs and clumsy chaos.
