Gary L Johnson (Artistic Director of GLJ THEATRE) said "It amazes me each year how quickly all the young people can learn the lines and create such wonderful characters"! Gary continues "... This is the closest thing to making professional theatre. When I was younger I worked hard during Play in a week projects at CASTLE THEATRE, WELLINGBOROUGH and it was through these projects that I knew I could make my dream come true if I worked hard".
Gary is now CASTLE THEATREs pantomime dame having performed at the venue for the past four years.
"Who knows which of these young people we will see on a professional stage in the future"? exclaims Gary "We should be very proud and shout about the talent we have within our local area".

GLJ THEATRE has previous re-created classic stories like ROBIN HOOD, ALADDIN and THE PIED PIPER within the PLAY IN A WEEK PROJECT.
This years A PLAY IN A WEEK project almost brings a close to GLJ THEATRES 10th anniversary celebration. Jodi Allen was present with a special award for 10 years commitment at GLJ THEATRE and will soon be seen on stage with Gary in A TRIP TO PIGEON ISLAND a FREE summer panto touring Wellingborough.
GLJ Theatre meets at GLAMIS HALL throughout the year making theatre available for everyone aged between 4-19 years.
