Family open day and dog and pony show to be held at Brixworth

A family open day, complete with a dog show, pony show and bouncy castle, is to be held near Brixworth this weekend.

The Pytchley with Woodland Hunt Supporters' Association will host its Open Day and Family Dog and Pony Show at The Kennels, Station Road, Brixworth, on Sunday 7 June.

The pony show opens proceedings at 9.30am, with the gates opening to the wider public at 1pm.

Visitors will find trade stands, a raffle and tombola, and a bouncy castle for younger guests, alongside a bar, barbecue and refreshments through the afternoon.

The family dog show is expected to be one of the day's main draws, with classes open to pets of all shapes and sizes.

Admission is £5 per car. Organisers have appealed for donations of raffle and tombola prizes ahead of the day.
