Desborough's Specialist Remediation Solutions joins forces with waste management and aggregate firm to complete contaminated land remediation projects safely and efficiently
A Northamptonshire-based biohazard remediation company has formed a strategic partnership with a trusted waste management company to complete contaminated land remediation projects safely and efficiently across the UK.

Desborough-based Specialist Remediation Solutions (SRS) has joined forces with waste management and aggregate firm Aggregate Movements in Bedford to enable both companies to meet rigorous environmental compliance standards while delivering projects involving hazardous waste.
SRS managing director Stephen Booth manages the on-site work, liaising with the client and excavating the contaminated soils, while Aggregate Movements sales account manager James Gentle manages the haulage and disposal of the hazardous materials.
Following previous successful projects, the pair are about to embark on a new job together in Norwich removing contaminated soil and concrete.
James said: “Stephen is really transparent, he’s fair with the customers and everything he does is really professional.
“There are so many contractors cutting corners to save costs but work with hazardous materials has to be done properly. There are too many people these days who dispose of things illegally. Often, it’s not only illegal but it’s not environmentally friendly either. We always look to dispose of things in as environmentally friendly way as possible.
“Stephen is keen to do things properly like me and it’s so nice to have that in a partnership. It makes a job much easier because of how he operates.”
As a broker, Aggregate Movements are able to source good value, reliable haulage for SRS, who don’t have their own lorries, anywhere in the country and take any hazardous materials from the job to treatment plants or disposal facilities.
James added: “Stephen knows we are reliable and everything will be disposed of legally with all the correct paperwork. It’s so key with hazardous waste to have that paperwork.”
Managing director Stephen Booth said: “The work we do can be highly dangerous and it is crucial for us as a company that our partners mirror our vigilance around regulations, safety and risk.
“Our collaboration with James and the Aggregate Movements team has been hugely successful as we operate with the same values and understand the importance of safe and efficient hazardous waste disposal.
“I believe this is the beginning of a special business relationship.”
