Date announced for Desborough home hunters to learn more about Shared Ownership

Platform Home Ownership is opening the doors to its view homes at The Grange, at the town’s northern tip, delivered in collaboration with Bellway as part of the five-star homebuilder’s wider Weavers Fields development.

On Thursday, June 4, home seekers can step inside selected properties, all of which have been built to the highest standard, to explore how affordable housing does not compromise on quality.

The current phase at The Grange follows a successful first part of the scheme that also saw homes moved into for an initial share of between 10% and 75%.

Rather than pay a deposit and mortgage at full market value, payments are calculated against the owned share, with rent paid on the remainder, and an opportunity to increase that owned share over time, to full homeownership through a process called Staircasing.
