Corby patients invited to help shape their Urgent Treatment Centre UTC
DHU Healthcare is asking the people of Corby to get involved in helping to shape the future of the town’s Urgent Treatment Centre.

The not-for-profit, Community Interest Company provides NHS services across the Midlands and has set up a new Patient Participation Group at Corby UTC that will hold its first meeting on Wednesday 4th November with plans to hold one each quarter.
DHU Healthcare has operated the UTC since November 2025. It is inviting patients, carers and local people to join the group and have a say in how the centre is run.

Adele Peck is DHU’s Head of Clinical Services UTCs and said: “From the start our vision was to work with the people of Corby and the surrounding area, to understand what they need from our UTC. After almost a year running the centre, we have a clear picture of who uses it and why.
“Now is the right time to hear directly from patients about what we do well and where we need to improve and we are excited to work more closely with the community to build the UTC they need.”
The UTC treats illnesses and injuries that need urgent attention but are not life-threatening. These include cuts, sprains, suspected broken bones, stomach pain, persistent vomiting, skin infections, rashes and high temperatures.
The service operates from 08:00-20:00 365 days a year. You can access the service by walking in or get an appointment through NHS 111 or your GP surgery.
The first session will take place on Wednesday 4th November from 11.30am until 1pm at Lakelands Hospice Board Room in Corby, NN18 8LX.
