Corby Male Voice Choir welcomes new members to join a proud musical tradition
“We are always delighted to welcome new singers. You don’t need to read music or have previous experience in singing, just a willingness to give it a try and enjoy being part of something special”
As it celebrates its 50th anniversary, the Corby Male Voice Choir is inviting men from across the region to discover the joy of singing, launching a special recruitment drive to welcome new voices into its long-established ranks at this landmark moment in its history.

Founded in 1976, the choir has spent 50 years bringing together men of all ages and backgrounds from across Northamptonshire and neighbouring counties, united by a shared love of singing and community spirit.
Over its history, the choir has performed at prestigious venues and events, including a memorable appearance at London’s Royal Albert Hall as part of a major festival of male voice choirs. Their diverse repertoire spans everything from West End favourites, popular music, songs of the sea, sacred songs and music from Opera, as well as contemporary music.
As part of its anniversary celebrations, the choir will perform a special hometown performance at The Core at Corby Cube on Sat 27 June alongside guest performers, the Corby Silver Band and accomplished soprano Helen Winters, in support of The Alzheimer’s Society.
Now, the choir is looking to the future and to new members to help shape its next chapter. A choir spokesperson says: “We are always delighted to welcome new singers. You don’t need to read music or have previous experience in singing, just a willingness to give it a try and enjoy being part of something special.”
Rehearsals take place weekly at St Peter & St Andrew Church, Beanfield Avenue, Corby, and prospective members are welcome to attend. For more information, visit www.corbymalevoicechoir.co.uk.
