Corby Business Academy students celebrate GCSE success
“I am incredibly proud of all our students collecting results today”
Students and staff at Corby Business Academy are celebrating today after achieving a strong set of GCSE results with an increase in all key measures on last year. This marks the successful conclusion of a two-year journey and another proud milestone for the academy.

This morning, students and their families gathered at the school, which is part of Brooke Weston Trust, to receive their results and discuss their next steps. The atmosphere was joyful with students getting to celebrate their successes alongside proud staff. While many students are choosing to continue their education at the Corby Business Academy Sixth Form, others are progressing to college courses, apprenticeship programmes, and further training.
Kerry Prior, Principal of Corby Business Academy, said: “I am incredibly proud of all our students collecting results today. The commitment, resilience and ambition they have displayed throughout their time with us has been rightfully rewarded today and seeing their smiles has been incredible. These results are a direct reflection of the commitment they have applied to their chosen subjects and the personal goals they have worked so hard to achieve.

“Education is a collective effort, and I want to thank our brilliant staff for their support, and our families for the invaluable role they play in encouraging our students to be their best. It really is a wonderful moment to see them reach this milestone, and we look forward to continuing the educational journey with many of them in our 6th form next year”
Several students have achieved outstanding personal success this year. To highlight just a few:
Alexander McClean excelled with a whopping 8 9s and an 8 secured across all his subjects.
Caitlin Seaton obtained an amazing 5 9s in all three Science disciplines, Maths and French with 2 8s, a 7 and a 6 making up her full suite of results.
Mark Balla achieved 9s in English Literature and History alongside 4 8s, 2 7s and a Level 2 Distinction in Sports Studies.
Jessica Haggart secured 3 9s in English Language, English Literature and Geography together with 2 8s, 2 6s and 2 5s.
Pawel Kluczny also achieved 3 9s in Maths, Chemistry as well as 4 8s, a 6 and a 7.
The year group has also seen great success in securing competitive pathways outside of the traditional A 'Level route, with students gaining places on specialised apprenticeships in mechanics, motorsport and accountancy.

Andy Burns, newly appointed CEO of Brooke Weston Trust, said: “Today, all our students should feel really proud of everything they’ve achieved. They’ve explored new subjects, built friendships, and discovered passions over the past few years, which is what school is truly all about.
“Everyone at Corby Business Academy, from our teachers to our support staff, has worked hard to help students secure their ‘tickets for life,’ making the most of every opportunity while encouraging each one to approach their studies with real ambition. I am also very grateful to all our families who have provided such vital support along the way.
"At Brooke Weston Trust, we value more than just grades; we believe that success is reached in many different ways, and I can’t wait to see where these achievements take our students in the future."
