Ride High supports disadvantaged and vulnerable young people aged 8 to 18 experiencing poor mental health across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas of Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.

The charity delivers a unique programme of horse-riding and creative activities designed to boost wellbeing, build confidence and encourage healthy lifestyles. Each year, the charity helps more than 300 local young people re-engage with education, develop essential life skills and realise their potential.

The funding will support the urgent refurbishment of the children’s changing room.

Olivia Sugdon, Ride High CEO, commented: "Persimmon Homes' generous £1,000 donation through the Community Champions scheme will help us transform our children's changing room into a welcoming space that reflects the dignity, safety, and care every young person deserves.

A child's environment has a direct impact on their sense of wellbeing - this funding will help ensure that every child can participate in our programme with confidence."

Claire Dearsley, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes Midlands, added: “We are delighted to support Ride High. Their work makes a real difference to local young people facing difficult circumstances, and we are pleased to help improve facilities that support their vital work.”
