Community comes together for emergency service charities

Northamptonshire Search & Rescue (NSAR), Nene Valley Community Responders, and the Fire Fighters Charity have expressed their sincere thanks to everyone who supported a recent fundraising event that brought together members of the local community in aid of the volunteer emergency service charities.
The event was hailed a great success, attracting strong support from local residents, supporters, businesses and volunteers, all helping to raise £1500 in much needed funds that will enable the charities to continue their vital work across the county.
NSAR, one of the charities supported, relies entirely on donations and fundraising activities to maintain its operational capability. The volunteer-led charity provides trained search and rescue resources to Northamptonshire Police and other emergency services, responding 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to searches for vulnerable missing people and other time critical emergencies.
A special thank you has been extended to event organisers Dave Earl and Jodi Willis, whose hard work, dedication and enthusiasm were instrumental in making the day such a success.
All charities would also like to thank everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, provided prizes, and helped behind the scenes. The overwhelming support demonstrated the strength of community spirit and the value people place on the work carried out.
