Burton Latimer Duck Race 2026 returns with bigger family festival for the whole community

Burton Latimer is preparing to welcome back one of its best-loved annual traditions as the 2026 Burton Latimer Duck Race returns on Saturday 27 June 2026, bringing a full afternoon of family entertainment, live music, community activities and the famous duck race itself.

Running from 1:00pm to 7:00pm at Burton Latimer Pocket Park, this year’s event will feature an expanded programme and a refreshed festival-style feel, creating a relaxed summer celebration for residents, families and visitors of all ages.

A Packed Entertainment Schedule

Visitors can enjoy a vibrant mix of performances and activities throughout the afternoon, including:

Latin In Liners, led by world champion dancers Keith and Judy Clifton

St Mary’s Primary School Choir

Shine – Signs the Music

Balloon modelling, children’s games, and family activities

Live music sets throughout the day, including The Frettlyst and Friction UK

A new Duck Parade at 3:00pm, with visitors encouraged to dress up and join in

The iconic Duck Race at 4:00pm

Raffle and Duck Hunt winners announced at 5:30pm

Younger visitors can also look forward to a special guest appearance from Spiderman, with meet-and-greet opportunities taking place during the afternoon.

A Celebration of Community

Organised by local volunteers and supported by businesses, schools and community groups across Burton Latimer, the Duck Race raises funds for local causes nominated and chosen by the people of the town. The event brings residents together for a day that combines long-standing tradition with fresh energy and entertainment.

Event organisers said: “The Duck Race is one of those rare events that brings the whole town together — families, schools, local groups and businesses,” said an event organiser. “This year we’ve gone bigger and longer with the entertainment, creating a fun, festival-style atmosphere that we hope everyone will love.”
