Brown brothers road to the ITF World Cup

In September 2026 Lennon (14) and Stanley Brown (12) from Higham Ferrers are both heading to the ITF World Cup in Benidorm, where they will be competing against Taekwondo clubs from across the world. Both boys have trained and competed in ITF Taekwondo both nationally and internationally for a number of years and are now getting ready to compete together on the world stage, for their club Proaction Martial Arts Northampton ( www.martialartslessons.co.uk ). With both having achieved great success at competitions such as the ITF English Nationals, ITF British Championships, ITF Open Welsh, the Holland Cup and many others in between, they are hoping to return from Benidorm adding World titles to their names. They will both be competing as Black Belts in the pre-junior categories for sparring, patterns (Tuls) and special technique, with Stanley fighting at sub 45kg and Lennon at sub 55kg. Following recent success at the Proaction In-House competition, where Lennon won the 13-17yrs sub 59kg sparring category and Stanley taking home best overall under 13yrs competitor with two golds and a bronze, their next big event is the ITF Open Welsh. Along with their Proaction team mates, they will be heading to Cardiff on 6th June where this will act as a warm up for the World Cup in September, with them both hoping to continue their success.

As Taekwondo is a self funded sport, we are seeking support by way of sponsorship from one or two local businesses, to help towards entry fees and necessary equipment requirements for the World Cup.
