Bellway site manager recognised for commitment to quality
The site manager in charge at a Bellway development in Desborough has been rewarded for his dedication to building quality homes for his customers.

Cymon Robinson, Project Manager at Weavers Fields, was announced as a winner in the National House Building Council’s (NHBC) 2026 Pride in the Job Quality Awards.
It is the fifth time Cymon has received a Quality Award in his career, to go alongside two Seals of Excellence and a Regional Award which he has won in the later stages of previous Pride in the Job competitions.

Cymon, 48, from Northampton, said: “We build homes as if we are building them for ourselves and our families. It’s all about attention to detail, setting high standards and meeting them without exception. It’s hard work but seeing the result and knowing the customers are happy makes it worthwhile.
“We take great pride in the homes we are building and it’s immensely rewarding for the whole team when our hard work is recognised like this.”
The awards, which are now in their 45th year, are among the most highly-prized in the housebuilding industry, with only 449 from 7.500 site managers inspected by the NHBC selected for the honour this year.
Judging for the awards is a rigorous process which encompasses every aspect of a site manager’s responsibilities, including consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and health and safety. Spot checks are also carried out on the day-to-day running of the site.
Cymon and the other successful site managers will now go on to be judged in the next round of the competition – the Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards – which will be announced in the autumn.
Iain Hunter, Construction Director for Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: “Huge congratulations to Cymon on winning another Pride in the Job Quality Award this year.
“He has shown absolute dedication to meeting the rigorous standards required by the NHBC judges and has also inspired his site team to share the Pride in the Job ethos, which is vital to achieve this award.
“As a company we have targeted the Pride in the Job Awards as part of our strategic focus on quality, with best practice and expertise shared across the business.
“Cymon has been part of helping to create a culture in which our construction teams consistently build homes they would be proud to call their own. We hope his continued commitment to excellence will enable him to achieve even greater success in the next stage of the competition.”
