Beanfield Primary staff take on Wolf Run in memory of former pupil
Members of staff from Beanfield Primary School, part of Brooke Weston Trust, took on the challenging 5K Wolf Run on Saturday 13 June to raise funds for a special project in memory of former pupil Ella.
The team tackled the obstacle course to support plans to enhance and develop the school's wellbeing garden, a space that held a special place in Ella's heart. Ella was a valued member of the Beanfield Primary community and particularly enjoyed helping to care for the garden, which provided opportunities for reflection, connection with nature and quiet moments of calm.
The fundraising initiative aims to create an even more welcoming and supportive environment for pupils, ensuring the wellbeing garden continues to provide a safe space where children can relax, reflect and support their emotional wellbeing while enjoying the benefits of being outdoors.
By supporting the Wolf Run challenge, staff hope to create a lasting tribute to Ella's kindness, enthusiasm and love of nature, while helping future generations of children benefit from the peaceful space she helped nurture.
Sam Eathorne, Principal of Beanfield Primary, said: "Ella was a much-loved member of our school community and the wellbeing garden was somewhere she found great joy. We wanted to do something meaningful in her memory that would have a lasting impact on our pupils. By enhancing the garden, we can create a space that reflects Ella's love of nature and provides support, comfort and enjoyment for children for years to come."
The school is inviting members of the community to support the fundraising effort and help make the project a reality.
