Barton Seagrave WI centenary celebrations start with a splash

Barton Seagrave WI members had a very exciting time going down the water chute at Wicksteed Park.

Both the WI and the Water Chute are 100 years old. What a great way to celebrate!

Barton Seagrave WI In Northamptonshire is celebrating its Centenary this year and as the Water Chute at nearby Wicksteed Park (the oldest theme park in England) is also 100 years old, they were lucky enough to have been chosen for a special ride.

This water chute is a listed building, was the first of its kind and still gives a thrill at this Iconic theme park established by Charles Wicksteed for the benefit of local people.

Barton Seagrave WI will be continuing their celebrations throughout the year but this certainly was a fantastic way to start.
