Barton Seagrave Cricket Club beer festival success
Barton Seagrave Cricket Club's annual beer festival was a resounding success.

Barton Seagrave Cricket Club opened its gates over the weekend of 10–12 July for its annual Beer Festival, welcoming hundreds of visitors to enjoy a fantastic celebration of local food, drink, music, and community spirit.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Barton Seagrave village and the Northamptonshire countryside, the festival provided the perfect setting for locals and visitors alike to relax in the sunshine, enjoy live music, take part in lawn games, and, of course, sample an impressive selection of locally brewed ales and ciders. Drinks on offer ranged from Potbelly Brewery's "All Things Bright and Brewtiful" ale to Farmer Jim's popular "Rhubarb Bob" cider.

The event was made possible thanks to the dedication of the club's volunteers and the generous support of local barrel sponsors, including The Stirrup Cup, EPD Insulation Group, DB Electrical, Sturgess Decorators, and Mawsley Vets, to name just a few.
Saturday afternoon saw attendees entertained by the talented Jasmine Ward, before the evening concluded with many festival-goers gathering to watch the England v Norway match on the big screen.
James Marriott, Assistant Treasurer of Barton Seagrave Cricket Club and a long-standing supporter of the club, said: "We've watched our Beer Festival grow year after year, attracting local businesses that generously sponsor our barrels, as well as members of the local community who come along to enjoy a fantastic selection of ales, live music, and fun cricket activities suitable for all ages and abilities.
"The event is entirely volunteer-run, and every penny of profit goes straight back into the club to support the training and development of our young players, while also helping to maintain and improve our facilities for everyone to enjoy."

Plans are already underway for next year's Beer Festival, with the 2027 event date to be announced in due course.
