A trip down memory lane through the decades

It was a truly amazing afternoon at Claremont Parkway Care Home - Barchester Healthcare on Thursday 20th August with the sensational Simon from Sunset Magic who took everyone from the 1950s to the 70s covering several genres of song from a wide range of artists which had residents singing and clapping along, With lots of laughter, love and smiles all round.
Several family members joined the home for the afternoon as well as two lovely ladies that had a short respite stay with Claremont and who enjoy coming to visit the friends they made whilst with Claremont as well as enjoying the events that are on throughout the month.
Residents were up on their feet dancing along with Simon and everyone agreed it was fantastic to see the residents having such a fantastic time, and being able to enjoy the memories through the decades that they so vividly remember.
Days like these are about so much more than entertainment, they provide opportunities for friendship, connection, and meaningful engagement. Seeing residents laugh & reminisce reminds everybody how important these special occasions are in enriching everyday life & supporting emotional wellbeing.
